中学水平英语语言教育关键领域

JinStar has a wide and varied range of English courses at Key Stage 3.  All of these courses build on knowledge learnt during the Key Stage 2 courses and prepares students for Key Stage 4 learning and the beginning of their IGCSE courses. Our English language courses focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening we also embed spelling, punctuation and grammar rules.  Students can learn the different genres of non-fiction writing as well as how to read and analyse a text. We also offer courses in literature such as Shakespeare and Creative Writing courses. All of our key Stage 3 courses have been written by a professional English teacher with experience at this stage. They all follow the English National Curriculum.

今之星在KS3学习阶段设计并研发了一系列英语语言的学术课程。本阶段所有课程的教学内容,与前一个学习阶段(KS2阶段)的学习内容有着紧密的衔接;同时,KS3阶段的课程也是为学生在后续的KS4阶段学习以及A-LEVEL课程的学习做好准备。今之星KS3阶段的学术英语课程将会根据阅读、写作、口语和听力等不同语言学习的能力而展开针对性教学。在不同的语言能力训练过程中,课程还将融入高阶词汇拼写规则、标点符号和语法等必要知识点的学习。通过课程的学习,学生能够知晓不同文学类型的非小说题材,以及这些题材所要求掌握的阅读理解能力和文本分析的能力。除此之外,我们还为KS3阶段的学生们精心设计了文学类课程的学习,例如:莎士比亚文学和创意写作课程。所有KS3阶段的课程,皆是由具备专业学术背景和具备丰富私校教学经验的英语老师而撰写;所有课程的教学内容皆遵循英国国家课程体系的教学标准与学术要求。

JinStar English Language Course in Secondary school will focus on developing the following abilities:

今之星中学阶段的英语语言课程,将重点培养以下能力:

阅读理解(Reading Comprehesion)

Reading a wide range of high-quality, challenging, classic literature and extended literary non-fiction, such as essays, reviews and journalism. This writing should include whole texts. The range will include:

  • at least one play by Shakespeare.

  • works from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.

  • poetry since 1789, including representative Romantic poetry.

  • re-reading literature and other writing as a basis for making comparisons.

 解读各类文本题材文章的能力;学生们将会涉猎的题材包括:语言理解难度较高的经典文学题材、纪实文学题材(非小说类)、学术论文、评论文章和新闻期刊的报导题材。其中,学生将会重点学习一篇莎士比亚的戏剧、一部分19-21世纪的英国现代文学作品节选、古典浪漫诗歌的阅读理解以及学术期刊的比较性阅读

  • Read in different ways for different purposes, summarise and synthesis ideas and information, and evaluate their usefulness for particular purposes.

  • Draw on knowledge of the purpose, audience for and context of the writing, including its social, historical and cultural context and the literary tradition to which it belongs, to inform evaluation.

  • Write formal and academic essays as well as writing imaginatively.

  • Understand why sentences are constructed as they are and to use Standard English.
